The Anglo Irish Bank has taken over Arnotts, the highly indebted department store in Dublin, which has a big sporting goods section. The new owner has appointed Mark Schwartz as chief executive. He runs a financial company, Palladin Capital Group. The choice of brands is going to be reviewed.
