The Australian golfer Greg Norman has become a brand ambassador for Garmin International, the Swiss-based company that brings GPS navigation and wearable technology to the automotive, aviation, marine, outdoor and fitness markets. Norman, also known as the “The (Great White) Shark,” is a two-time winner of the British Open and a member of the Golf Hall of Fame. He was ranked the world's number-one golfer for 331 weeks. The Norman for Garmin campaign, being launched this month, results from a collaboration with the Authentic Brands Group (ABG), which owns the Greg Norman brand. Norman himself has apparently been using Garmin's Approach S60 watch, its Approach Z80 laser range-finder, its Fenix 5X Plus outdoor smartwatch, and tool watches from the Marq Collection for some time. He will be promoting these and other GPS-enabled golf products in print and digital media.
