The board of Orange 21 has named A. Stone Douglass to replace Mark Simo as chief executive. Simo resigned effective Sept. 29. Douglass will review the company’s business and is expected to streamline operations and adjust the executive compensation scheme. Douglass joined Orange 21’s board on Aug. 7 and was named chairman 13 days later. Experienced in corporate turnaround and restructuring, he is a merchant banker and business management consultant who has been a director or interim CEO of more than 20 other companies.
