The Boston Athletic Association (BAA), which organizes the annual Boston Marathon, has extended its agreement with Adidas, which has already been affiliated with the marathon for 20 years. The new deal runs through 2021, which includes the 125th anniversary of the BAA and the 125th running of the marathon in 2021. This year’s marathon, held yesterday, saw a non-American winning for the 26th year in a row. The first-place finisher was Deriba Merga of Ethiopia with a time of 2:08.42, followed by Daniel Rono 50 seconds later. Ryan Hall was the first American to cross the line in third place with a time of 2:09.40. The 26-year-old is sponsored by Asics.
