The Chinese sports brand Erke reports that it opened more than 800 mono-brand stores last year, for a total of 4,300 in China. In the first nine months of 2008, the company had an increase in sales of 46 percent, and a profit increase of 30 percent. In the last three years it has grown by more than 50 percent on average and in 2008 expanded distribution in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and partners opened stores in Beirut, Dubai and Malaysia.
