The city of Milan has approved the lease of land near Linate airport to the Italian Golf Federation (FIG) for 19 years to build a six-hole golf course. On top of an annual rent of nearly €19,000, FIG is due to invest at least €500,000 in the project, which is scheduled to be completed in a couple of years’ time. Located in the Forlanini park, the four-hectare course will hold golf lessons for schools in the morning and will be open to all players in the afternoon.
