The construction of Li Ning’s sportswear manufacturing and distribution center will cost 3.2 billion renmimbi (€338.1m-$470.4) and create 20,000 to 30,000 new jobs. The facility will be set up in Jingmen, China, where the average wage of a skilled textile worker is 50 percent lower than in coastal areas. Phase 1 will be completed in September 2009. The entire facility will be done by 2013 and is projected to produce 40 to 50 percent of Li Ning’s total output.
