The first-ever European Industry Awards were presented on April 28 at the Snow Ball, an event organized by EuroSIMA’s Mountain Division. There were three categories for the award’s inaugural year: SOURCE Breakthrough Brand of the Year, which was won by Bataleon Snowboards; the ISPO Product of the Year, which was awarded to Burton for its X8 Snowboard E.S.T. technology and the EuroSIMA Lifetime Achievement Award, which was jointly won by Sepp Ardelt and Tommy Delago from Nitro Snowboards.
