The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), which was formed from the tie-up between the German Sports Confederation and the National Olympic Committee for Germany ten years ago, has extended its partnership with Adidas. The company's latest deal as official sponsor and outfitter covers four winter and summer Olympic Games until 2024. The agreement was announced in Rio de Janeiro by Herbert Hainer, outgoing chief executive of the Adidas Group, and Alfons Hörmann, president of the DOSB. Adidas has been a partner for the German Olympic Committee for more than 45 years and it again delivered more than 60,000 pieces for German athletes in Rio, including training and podium wear as well as official outfits for the opening ceremony. The two organizations are working together on youth-oriented sports programs and events.
