The German subsidiary of K-Swiss has informed its retail customers in Germany and Austria that the brand will no longer sell its line of running gear in those markets. The sales figures were declining last year, and reportedly looked no more promising for the current year. The key account managers and regional sales representatives for the line are no longer with the company. The German operations emphasize, however, that the correction of the strategy in Central Europe in no way means a general pullout of K-Swiss from the category: The collection will continue to be sold in the U.S. and other markets.
