The Giorgio Armani group recently launched its EA7 Emporio Armani brand in Russia. The Italian-based company recently opened its first EA7 store in Moscow's Mega Teply Stan shopping center, which belongs to the Russian-based Ingka group, a successor company of the Ikea group. The Ingka group has 14 shopping centers in Russia, each with an Ikea store. The new EA7 store is on 200 square meters and is near stores with banners such as Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Cain, Liu Jo, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss and Weekend Max Mara. Because of a restructuring of Armani's brand portfolio, sales of EA7 products reportedly declined in the past three business years by 5-8 percent. The Armani group itself recorded sales of €2.1 billion last year, down 8 percent from the previous year. Livio Proli, chief executive of the Armani group, left the company in March. Giuseppe Marsocci and Daniele Ballestrazzi have since ascended in the company's hierarchy. Marsocci is now responsible for sales, while Ballestrazzi is responsible for finance and operations.
