The JD Sports Fashion group declined to comment on British press reports about the imminent departure of Julia Reynolds as chief executive of Blacks Leisure, the troubled outdoor retailer it acquired in January. Reynolds, who only became chief executive last August, will reportedly leave the company in the coming months, once the integration of Blacks has been completed. Since the JD group bought Blacks for about £20 million (€24.7m-$32.3m), it has closed down more than 80 of the 290 Blacks and Millets stores it took over. Most of the closures targeted Millets stores. The performance of the retailer in the last months has been under pressure due to shortages of adequate inventories.
