The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have signed a multi-year agreement to launch a range of products, events and promotional campaigns across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The deal will use the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA and Looney Tunes Active brands to boost participation in basketball in children aged four to 12. Products including apparel, accessories, games, toys and consumables will feature popular Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and others in NBA team jerseys. The partnership will also create Looney Tunes Active and Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA co-branded basketball clinics, which will appear at select NBA events across Europe. At these clinics, children will have a chance to meet NBA personalities and the Looney Tunes characters, as well as play basketball and learn the basics of the sport via instructional vignettes featuring Looney Tunes characters.
