The North Face has decided to move its European office from Italy to Switzerland. Consultations have started with the local unions, but less than 10 of TNF Europe’s 160 employees should remain in the Montebelluna region to deal with the Italian market by the end of this year. In other news, TNF will exhibit at the OutDoor show again in 2010 after it took a break last summer. At last Ispo, the brand announced it would stay away from the Friedrichshafen show to fulfill its cost-cutting program. TNF’s European head, Patrik Frisk, confirmed that the brand is going to exhibit at OutDoor again next summer, possibly with a smaller booth than in previous years (more in The Outdoor Industry Compass).
