The North Face has unveiled “Five to Nine,” a three-minute film featuring Fearghal O'Nuallain, a London-based geography teacher, as well as a like-minded community of after-hours explorers who do not let their daily urban routine interfere with their passion for the outdoors. Fearghal and his peers hold nine-to-five jobs and use their weeknights to explore the outdoors, which often means traveling together to hike and camp after work and returning to London in the following morning, to start another working day. The film is part of TNF's spring/summer 2015 “Power In Me” campaign. The after-hours explorers in the film carry the brand's Thermoball jacke. In conjunction with the release of the short film, TNF will be offering dedicated retail and social programs. Selected TNF stores will be organizing night hikes led by the brand's athletes. The night hikes will be held in various European locations including Munich, Glasgow, Milan, Lyon, Leipzig and Cardiff, starting on May 7. The brand will also be activating outdoor experts and enthusiasts to co-curate and hike the 20 best hiking trails in Europe. Their efforts will be documented on a dedicated Instagram account, from May to September.
