The organizers of EFFTEX, the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association exposition, are expecting an increase in visitor and exhibitors for its show in Budapest on June 12-14. There is a 30 percent increase in the number of new exhibitors booking space, and the total is 230, up from 213 last year. So far 89 percent of exhibition space has been sold to companies coming from 39 different countries. More than 1,015 visitors have pre-registered, 13 percent more than those who attended the European show in Rome last year, and organizers expect that attendance could be a record high this year. Part of the reason may be the reported cancellation of a rival angling show premiered in Amsterdam last August.
