The PPR group has appointed Marie-Claire Daveu chief sustainability officer and head of international institutional affairs. She will also have a seat on the group's executive committee. Aged 41, until March 2012 she was principal private secretary to the French minister of ecology, sustainable development, transport and housing. Previously, she was head of sustainable development at Sanofi-Aventis. She will report to François-Henri Pinault, PPR's chief executive and chairman. Jochen Zeitz, currently a director of PPR and chairman of the board's sustainable development committee, will leave his operational duties with PPR in October and will take part in a sustainability advisory group.
