The Rockport Company is incorporating Torsion, the lightweight arch support system that was first launched by Adidas in 1989, into 25-30 of its Rockport styles for Fall 2007. The retail collection will be delivered to specialty retailers and premium independents in September. Adidas has already sold 50 million pairs of shoes using the Torsion technology worldwide.
