The Russian Golf Association and Poodle have signed a sponsorship agreement running through 2016. The Amsterdam-based women's golf brand will supply the women's national team of Russia with clothing from its range of golf gear, which in addition to the Team Russia and RGA logos will be co-branded with the Association's partners and suppliers: Reso-Guarantee, Golf Profi, and the Agalarov Golf & Country Club. The sponsorship deal will cover all national and international competitions. Subject to team qualification, it will also cover the 2016 Olympics in Rio, when golf will return as an Olympic sport for the first time since 1904. Anastasia Kostina, one of the pros in the Russian team, recently made history by being the winner of Ukraine's first-ever women's professional golf tournament, the GolfStream Ladies Open at the Kiev Golf Club, as well as Russia's first female golfer to win a Ladies European Tour event.
