The event was supported by Nickelodeon as headlining sponsor and NBC4 Southern California as its new media sponsor. Additional sponsors included, among others, Body Glove, Kids Foot Locker, Wells Fargo, and Chevron. The number of participants reached a new record of 12,000 people while the Walk's reach on social media exceeded four million viewers, Skechers said. Since its launch in 2009, the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk has raised more than $7 million. The Foundation also helps educational foundations committed to academic programs and improving libraries and school technology.
