The South African golfer Ernie Els has signed a multi-year deal with Puma to become a global brand ambassador. Having worn Puma golf shoes since the year began, Els will now be wearing them on the PGA Tour under contract. In addition, he will be collaborating on the design and color of future models. Nicknamed The Big Easy for his considerable height, Els was once the world's top ranked golfer, and he is a member of the so-called “Big Five” who dominated the sport in the early 2000s. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2011. He is also a winemaker and philanthropist who founded the Ernie Els & Fancourt Foundation for youth golf in South Africa and the Els for Autism Foundation. Els also has his own line of golf apparel.
