The Swedish Fenix Outdoor group, which controls brands like Fjällräven, Hanwag, Primus and Tierra, has founded an Italian subsidiary. It will be headed up by Martin Nordin, son of Fenix’ founder Åke Nordin and chief executive of the group since a few weeks ago. The new subsidiary is located close to the Austrian border in Sterzing, near Vipiteno, and will start its business by selling Hanwag footwear. The distribution of other Fenix brands has yet to follow.
