The Tecnica Group's Moon Boot, which is growing strongly right now, is one of 111 garments and accessories that have been selected for an exhibition running from last Oct. 1 through Jan. 28 at New York's Museum of Modern Art, covering its entire floor. Called “Items: Is Fashion Modern,” the exhibition covers the whole sixth floor of the museum. Chosen with the help of WSGN among the products that have had the most significant impact on society in the last 100 years, the items also include Adidas' Superstar, Nike's Air Max, the Converse All Star, the Gore-Tex jacket, Danskin's leotard, Lacoste's and Fred Perry's polo shirt, Speedo's Team USA 1968 men's suit. Moon Boot's sales were stable last year at €8 million, but they are expected to grow by at least 20 percent this year under the management of Nick Carisle, a former executive of Diesel, Invicta and Bata who became the brand manager early last year. The business plan calls for the Moon Boot to reach sales of €20 million by 2020.
