The Uvex Group has reported an increase in total sales of 5 percent to €475 million in the last financial year, ended last July. The winter-sports segment, which includes ski helmets and ski goggles under the Uvex and Alpina brands, suffered a year-on-year decline for the 2018/19 financial year. Uvex attributes this to a saturated market and to climate change. It was able to compensate with increased sales of bicycle glasses and equipment for professional use. The group continues to develop and manufacture most of its products at its own production centers in Germany and other European countries.
