The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) has hired Dhyana van der Pols for the newly-created role of head of textile innovation and manufacturing, effective Sept. 1. Van der Pols will be responsible for creating WFSGI's competence center on textile intelligence and for providing WFSGI members with in-depth knowledge on the latest developments in fabrics, machinery and automation, lean manufacturing, sourcing solutions and design assistance and pre-production. She has many years of experience in sourcing, technical textile and innovations as well as supply chain solutions. She is the founder and director of Nash International, a company that organizes conferences and coaches manufacturers in the fashion, sport and textile industry in 14 emerging countries. Prior to that, she was head of design, purchase and production at Vilenzo in the Netherlands, and plant manager in factories in Pakistan, Madagascar, Tunisia and Sri Lanka.
