Thierry Kunz returned to the Nidecker group last month as chief marketing officer and board member, after several years at the Quiksilver group. A former professional snowboarder and the founder of Donuts Snowboards, Kunz was already at the Swiss snowboarding group as head of marketing for five years until 2006. In the interval, he served at the Quiksilver group as business unit manager for the snow category at DC Shoes in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), then as marketing director for DC Shoes in EMEA, and head of global winter marketing for Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Shoes, based at the group's European head office in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. At Nidecker, Kunz has become the brand leader for both the Nidecker and Laird product lines.
