This year’s Ryder Cup was inundated by unusually heavy rainfalls. Reportedly, the rain was so strong and so persistent that the North American team at the contest decided to buy at the last minute the stretchable waterproof rainwear of Pro Quip, the official supplier of rainwear to the European Ryder Cup team. The North American team had gotten its raingear from a U.S. company, Sun Mountain. The European team won the Ryder Cup by 14.5 to 13.5.
