Tiger Woods has returned to the PGA Tour with Taylormade clubs, after Nike decided to pull out of the golf equipment market, but the U.S. player remains a Nike partner for apparel and footwear. The Adidas Group decided last year to divest Taylormade equipment and other parts of its golf business, while continuing to sell Adidas-branded golf footwear and apparel. The multi-year deal between Woods and Taylormade was agreed at an undisclosed price. It covers metalwoods, irons and wedges, while the golfer is reportedly continuing to play with the Scotty Cameron putter. Taylormade said that woods will “co-create” with the brand's club engineers and he will have an integral role in the design and development of a new, personalized iron model to be launched at an undetermined date.
