Timberland filed a lawsuit against Sportszone, its former distributor for several Latin American countries. Timberland’s legal action charges that Sportszone has performed actions or threats of actions that don’t coincide with the contractual agreement the two companies had on how to deal with matters. When Timberland terminated the 8-year old distribution agreement in 2003, the two companies locked horns over how much money Sportszone owed to Timberland. Then in July, Sportszone alleged that Timberland actually owed it money under the terms of the agreement they had, and then sued Timberland in Colombia, French Guyana and other countries.
