Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart has been promoted to the new position of Timberland's president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The promotion follows the announced retirement of Richard O'Rourke, a Timberland veteran based in the U.K. who has been acting lately as senior vice president of international operations, in charge of EMEA as well as Asia. A German citizen born and raised in Switzerland, Schmidt-Eisenhart started at VF Corp. in 2007 as sales director of The North Face for the EMEA region, after working for more than seven years with Nike. He became vice president and general manager of TNF for the same region in 2010. He switched to a similar role for Timberland EMEA one year ago. He will continue to be based in Switzerland.
