To mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of its manufacturing plant in Irvine, Scotland, Wilson Golf christened its new EMEA Wilson Golf Competency Center there this month. Paul Lawrie, the winner of the 1999 Open and a Wilson athlete, was on hand to celebrate the opening of the center, which provides European customers with customized golf clubs in five days from order to shipping. The facility produces more than 70,000 clubs every year.
