Tor-Andre Skeie, who plays a key role with two Norwegian sporting goods retailers, Sport Outlet and Sport Norway, has been named as a finalist for this year's Entrepreneur of the Year, organized by Ernst & Young, across all categories for the West region of the country. Skeie was nominated for helping Sport Outlet achieve fast growth both in the number of stores and in terms of sales, among other reasons. Currently, there are roughly 45 stores spread throughout the country, and this year their sales will amount to more than 500 million Norwegian kroner (€51.4m-$60.9m), up from NOK 350 million in 2016. If Skeie were to win, the 44-year-old will represent Norway in the international finals in Monaco in the summer of 2018.
