Toyota has reportedly developed a skateboard that floats in the air, like the one used by Marty McFly in the pioneering “Return to the Future” movie. Its “hoverboard” is powered by magnetic levitation through a combination of permanent magnets and supraconductors cooled down by liquid azote. It's a concept model developed under Toyota's premium brand, Lexus, and there are apparently no plans to market it in the foreseeable future.
