The Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit in Kuala Lumpur attracted 140 attendees – double the 2024 figure. The event featured 40 speakers, including Sir Nick Faldo, and will return to Malaysia for the next two years alongside the LPGA Maybank Championship.

This fourth edition, held at the Sime Darby Convention Center on Oct. 28-30, had attendees from 17 countries: Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Scotland, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the UK and the US. It focused on four themes: innovation and future trends, operational sustainability, education, and demographics and tourism.

Six-time Major champion Faldo spoke in his exclusive, pre-recorded interview about golf course architecture and the appeal of Asia for golf tourists from around the world.

“Overall attendance at this year’s Summit was almost double to 2024 and the addition of the Business Leaders’ Invitational and the AGIF Awards Gala Dinner certainly provided new dimensions,” said AGIF President Chris Gray, who added that the organization is committed to continue growing its Annual Summit.

AGIF has confirmed that the industry event will return to Malaysia for the next two years – 2026 and 2027 – at the same venue in Kuala Lumpur and the same week as the LPGA Maybank Championship.
