By extending to 2029 after one edition, EOG and MagNet are staking the industry’s calendar strategy on consolidating summits, awards, activations and a trade show into a single week.

European Outdoor Group (EOG) and MagNet Group have extended their partnership, keeping European Outdoor Week (EOW) in Riva del Garda through at least 2029. The deal follows the event’s first edition this year and comes as pre registration opens for EOW 2027, scheduled for May 8 to 13.

Dates for the next two editions are also set: EOW 2028 will run May 13 to 18, and EOW 2029 from May 12 to 17.

For exhibitors and brands, the extension puts a stable date on the calendar after a shaky stretch for the region’s main outdoor gathering. When the Munich edition of the OutDoor trade show was canceled on short notice in 2025, the long term path looked uncertain. EOW was framed as the reset: one week that combines several previously separate industry events, with the aim of reducing how many trips brands have to make and making in person participation more manageable.

As our columnist Sébastien Willefert noted after the first edition, the open question was whether Riva marked a real new start or a one off reunion. This agreement gives it a three year runway.

The first EOW included the return of OUTDOOR, the sector’s leading international trade show, held alongside Outdoor & Running Business Days, with more than 280 exhibitors and 2,500 buyers. The broader week also included the second Outdoor Impact Summit (over 220 delegates), Outdoor Media Day (45 brand stands, 250 attendees), the European Outdoor Award ceremony (360 people), Outdoor Activation Days (27 experiences for more than 700 participants) and Innovation for Outdoor Day (20 startups pitching to more than 40 potential investors).

EOG also held its Summer Member Meeting, bringing together leaders from its base of more than 150 member organizations. Across all events, EOW attracted more than 8,000 visitors from over 60 countries.
