TSL, the French snowshoe specialist, presented its first flexible model of snowshoes at this year's Ispo Munich show. Due to the flexible structure of the frame and the bindings, the new product, called Symbioz, adapts to the foot and the terrain, while independent claws provide for traction and holding. The product retails at €249 and is being launched internationally. TSL sells about 200,000 pairs of snowshoes per season and expects to reach total sales of €10 million by the end of this winter season. Sales should be stable for the current season as compared to the previous one, but they will probably be down by about €3 million from the 2010-11 season. The company's sales declined in the U.S. in the last season, but they went up in Switzerland.
