Uhlsport has issued a statement in response to rumors that have been circulating on the internet and in social media about its two-year-old sponsorship of the Iranian Football Federation, whose team is going to compete in the imminent World Cup in Brazil. The German company denies that it has not given it sufficient football jerseys to the players on the Iranian team and that its own polyester garments tend to shrink.
