Umbro has signed a ten-year extension of its licensing deal with Grupo Dass, a manufacturer and marketer of sporting goods with offices and factories in Brazil and Argentina. In addition to Umbro – which is owned by Iconix Brand Group – Fila is another of Grupo Dass' big clients. The partnership with Umbro dates back to 1999. The new agreement takes Grupo Dass' license to design, manufacture and distribute Umbro apparel, footwear and equipment in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay and extends it through the year 2035. Umbro operates in about 100 countries and sponsors some 120 football clubs and 200 football players worldwide. The clubs include Santos FC, Gremio, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube, Associacao Chapecoense, Avai FC, Sport Club do Recife and Club Athletico Paranaense and Newell's Old Boys.
