Umbro is the official kit supplier for the inaugural Star Sixes tournament, the six-a-side indoor football competition where former international players represent a senior national team for which they played. The inaugural tournament will take place at the O2 Arena in London on July 13-16. The brand is already the technical kit supplier to more than 120 clubs around the world. Among the football legends who will be wearing Umbro's trademark during the Star Sixes competition are Alessandro Del Piero, Steven Gerrard, Rivaldo, Robert Pires, Carles Puyol, Deco, Michael Ballack and Jay-Jay Okocha. The 12 teams will represent Brazil, Mexico, England, Scotland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Denmark, Nigeria and China. The Star Sixes is organized by Pitch International in partnership with Football Champions Tour, a sports management agency. Umbro's portfolio of clubs includes West Ham United, Everton, PSV, Cruzeiro and Vasco da Gama, among others. The British brand will also be partnering with SV Werder Bremen and Schalke 04 from the start of the 2018/19 season.
