Under Armour continues to expand its sports marketing activities internationally. It has become the official technical supplier of the next two editions of the Copa del Rey, the Spanish basketball tournament, which will take place in Gran Canaria on Feb. 19 and 22. It will launch a special model of basketball shoes for the occasion. The American brand has also signed a new deal with the Yomiuri Giants, the best-known baseball team in Japan. Furthermore, Under Armour is said to be likely to win a bid against New Balance to replace Adidas as sponsor of Andy Murray after the next Wimbledon and U.S. Open tennis tournaments, paying a lower price than the Three Stripes.
