Under Armour has agreed to a nine-year extension of its partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), until 2025. Rugby is one of the sports that Under Armour has been using to gain prominence in Europe. Among its most important partnerships was a deal to become the WRU's official technical partner in 2008. Since the partnership began, Wales has won the RBS 6 Nations Championship three times, including two Grand Slams. Apart from match day kits, Under Armour will provide performance training apparel to the WRU first team, age grade squads, Sevens and women's teams. Under Armour has also reinforced its commitment to the WRU by becoming title sponsor of Welsh rugby's autumn international series matches, for the next nine years. The Under Armour Series 2016 will be played with Australia, Argentina, Japan and South Africa at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on consecutive Saturdays in November. Walesonline estimated the deal at £33 million, although the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
