Under Armour (UA) has announced a partnership with Virgin Galactic, part of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group, which will see the American sportswear brand serve as Technical Spacewear Partner. Virgin Galactic and its sister companies – The Spaceship Company and Virgin Orbit – are developing and operating a new generation of space vehicles to make space accessible to everyone. UA will be designing and producing the space apparel and footwear that will be worn by passengers as well as pilots during future commercial trips to space. UA will also design physical training programs for astronauts in preparation for the flights. Furthermore, UA will provide uniforms for Virgin Galactic's teams working at Spaceport America in New Mexico, including astronaut trainers, engineers, hosts and mission control operatives.
