Under Armour's new Coldblack sportswear collection launched in the U.S. in March was developed with the help of Schoeller, a Swiss company specializing in innovative textile technologies, and Clariant, a global leader in specialty chemicals. The collection features advanced UV protection and reflection by reducing the absorption of heat rays, especially by darker-colored clothing. Not only does this provide protection from UV rays, but it keeps the wearer cooler and offers a wider range of colors to wear comfortably. In addition, products made with Coldblack, which is a trademark of Schoeller, contain only Bluesign1 approved components. Under Armour's collection also features Clariant's Sanitized antimicrobial finish.
