Uvex Group, the parent of brands including Alpina, Hiplok and Uvex, is to part ways with both its Uvex Sports Group CEO Christophe Weissenberger and CFO/COO Dr. Michael Dannhauser with immediate effect.
“We would like to thank the managing directors for their commitment and dedication in recent years and especially in the last few months and wish them all the best for the future,” says Michael Winter, Managing Partner of the Uvex Group.
Explaining the decision, Winter adds: “We have achieved a lot in recent years, but in these challenging times we have not always agreed on the future direction of our brands and the organization.”
Weissenberger had been the Managing Director/CEO of the Uvex Sports Group since September 2016. Dannhauser had held his executive role since January 2019.
Tasks will initially be distributed on an interim basis. The management level of the Uvex Sports Group will be temporarily assigned to Winter as well as Georg Höfler, CFO/COO of Uvex Winter Holding GmbH & Co KG.
Successors are already being sought. “We will exercise due diligence in the search for successors and will also consider internal candidates who already know our family business and its values well. We will take the necessary time,” explains Winter.
