
VF Corp. has named Brent Hyder Chief People Officer (CPO), effective Sept. 5. Hyder will report to President and CEO Bracken Darrell and will be a member of the company’s leadership team. He succeeds Anita Graham, who departed to join Labcorp earlier this year.
Hyder joins VF after spending nearly four years as chief people officer at Salesforce. Prior to that, Hyder spent nearly 30 years in retail, including 15 years at Gap Inc. where he most recently served as chief human resources officer responsible for all human resources, communications, safety, Gap Inc Foundation and sustainability globally. Previously, he was global chief operating officer of the Gap brand and led Gap Japan as representative director and general manager. Hyder held other operational roles and responsibilities focused on stores and retail operations at Target Corporation, Best Buy and at Gap Inc and its various brands.
As CPO for VF, Hyder will be responsible for all aspects of the HR function globally, driving strategies to optimize employee and business success. He will lead talent acquisition and management programs focused on developing and retaining VF’s more than 30,000 performance-driven employees.
