Vibram and Masaya Hashimoto, the designer of its Furoshiki Wrapping Sole, won the ADI Design Index 2017 prize for innovation in finished products. Launched last year and inspired by a Japanese technique, the shoe is the first one that envelops the foot, guaranteeing a personalized fit and comfort through its ergonomic straps, made with Eurojersey elastic fabrics. As the winner of this prize, the product also got a special recognition from the office of Italy's President, Sergio Mattarella.
