Vista Outdoor has announced that it will donate $85,000 in unused funds from the Vista Outdoor Political Action Committee (PAC) to five American-based nonprofit organizations. The funds will be split evenly between the Congressional Sportsmen Foundation, National Interscholastic Cycling Association, Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, American Junior Golf Association, and Council to Advance Hunting and Shooting Sports.
The donation marks the final contributions from Vista Outdoor’s PAC, which is closing due to the splitting of Vista Outdoor into two separate companies. Moving forward, Vista Outdoor has said that the two companies will each develop a “holistic advocacy model centered on direct engagement with policymakers, philanthropy and trade association involvement.”
