Volcom has appointed Kevin Meehan to the new position of president of North America, completing a lineup of managers dedicated to specific regions or countries, including Europe, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. The North American market was previously handled by Jason Steris who will now concentrate on his main responsibility as the company's global chief executive. Meehan has worked for more than 19 years in the action sports industry. He was most recently general manager of Analog and Gravis at Burton. He previously worked at Hurley, including a position as the chief sales officer for North America, after running his own publishing company for the Surfer, Surfing, Snowboarder and Skateboarder magazines.
