Warrior Sports, the team sports brand of New Balance, has signed a sponsorship deal with Jonás Gutiérrez, a 29-year-old Argentinean football player who has been a member of the Newcastle United team since 2008.  Nicknamed “Spider-Man” because of a mask that he put on when he scored a goal during his previous stint at the RCD Mallorca team, he was coached by Diego Maradona and was previously endorsing Puma. As reported in SGI Europe, Warrior has been signing several other deals after taking over from Adidas as sponsor of the Liverpool team, including a recent one with the Sevilla Futbol Club.
