We have just discovered that Matt Shearer was recently appointed general manager of Under Armour Europe, based at its office in the Netherlands. He previously ran the company's Canadian subsidiary. Shearer has taken the place of Blair Tripodi, who has left the company. Meanwhile, Stuart Redsun, the former Sony executive who became Under Armour's head of global marketing last October, has left the company. Many other top executives left in the last few months including the former international director, Mark Dowley, who resigned after only four months in the job in April 2011. His position was taken up one year later by Karl-Heinz “Charlie” Maurath, formerly with Adidas.
